Matthew 1:18
"Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as His mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost."

Our Advent journey is almost over. We have focused on John the Baptizer and naturally the subject of his preaching and prophecy; Jesus. We will continue our spiritual journey into the new year; we will read and study the Holy Scriptures so we can better understand the events recorded. We will open our hearts and make room in our daily lives for our Lord and Savior. The GREAT LIGHT perpetually coming into the world chasing away the dark days and ultimately securing victory for all of creation!

Until then we will marvel at the Advent of Jesus Christ! The Creator of the Universe becoming a flesh and blood person. A human being, born of His Mother JUST LIKE every other human being. UNLIKE us though His Father was not another human being!?!? His human father had to come to grips with this and will be the focus of our devotionals this week.

Matthew 6:11 "Give us this day our daily bread." Last week we focused our studies on “Thy Will Be Done...” We can TRUST in the LORD with ALL our hearts. Let GOD lead us in our daily lives. GOD'S will is for you and me to follow His plan. Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Serve Him by helping your friends and neighbors. It's a beautiful way. The rest of this petition is “On Earth as it is in Heaven.” We want God’s kingdom to be established on earth, reflecting the harmony and perfection found in heaven. We can have this in the here and now by prioritizing God’s will, seeking His guidance, and striving to live according to Biblical principles. However, we must keep in mind that we live in a fallen world. Too many will not join in our journey with Jesus. This tension and stress will cause everyone difficulties.
