you wouldn't understand

Isaiah 55:8&9
"8 For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the LORD.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts."

This past week we studied the event where Jesus REBUKED the storm and the wind and waves OBEYED Him!!! In that moment the Disciples experienced Jesus's Omnipotence, Omniscience and Omnipresence. While He was standing with them. Each one of us gets to come to the same conclusion in our own time. Once we do, the challenges we face will be to OBEY HIM.

This week we will dive into GOD'S ways and try to understand our Creator and Savior. We are created in God's image but can we understand Him??? Today's verses tells us we are going to be challenged to understand GOD. "For My thoughts are NOT your thoughts, NEITHER are your ways My ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher THAN your ways, and My thoughts THAN your thoughts." God is saying even if I told you, you wouldn't understand. God's wisdom and perspective has NO boundaries. God has NO limitations. We are grounded in our time and place. We are limited by our own self interest. We struggle to see much, if anything beyond our own perspective.

Elisha’s example

I will make you

Matthew 4:19&20 "19 And He saith unto them, Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men. 20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed Him." In our "Follow Me" series, we study Jesus calling His disciples in the Gospel of Matthew. By the Sea of Galilee, a thriving fishing hub, Jesus saw Simon and Andrew casting nets as humble fishermen. His disciples were ordinary workers, not wealthy or educated elites. Jesus approached them and said, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men." Remarkably, they immediately left their jobs to follow Him. This brief exchange conveys a profound truth: Jesus says, "I will make you." Only God can transform us to accomplish His purpose. We should often pray, "Help me, God," seeking Jesus' guidance to follow His plan for our lives.
