where were you?

Job 38:4
"Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding."

Picture this; the emaciated and barley alive Job being challenged by the Creator of the Universe. It would be comical if it were not so convicting. This is after all a picture of you and me when we question GOD!

In our study verses GOD has told Job to get ready for action. GOD says "I will demand of thee, and answer thou Me." And, the questions begin in today's verse; "WHERE wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, IF thou hast understanding." Job was not there when the world was created. None of us were there. Only GOD was there. Job did not help GOD with creation and honesty we don't understand how GOD made everything. It's very presumptuous of us to make any judgment on the things GOD does. We cannot comprehend the ways of GOD. It's hard for us to accept but it's how GOD made us.

The Holy Ghost is the only way this happens. They were very surprised to be hundreds and, some cases, thousands of miles from "home" and hearing their language spoken! It was astonishing!
