Isaiah 40:31
"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
Humans trying to understand GOD is like grasshoppers trying to understand humans. GOD rules the world and knows better about all our affairs than we do ourselves. Our transcendent GOD helps us! God gives power and strength. We can trust in GOD and look to Him for the aid we need! Even in our youth and at our most vigorous we become weary and exhausted. Not GOD! God is inexhaustible. God is forever young. God is forever strong!
"BUT they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as EAGLES; they shall run, and NOT be weary; and they shall walk, and NOT faint." The words 'wait upon' mean to wait, in the sense of expecting. Meaning to wait for GOD'S help, or to trust in Him. In other words to put our hope and confidence in Him.
"...shall renew their strength..." Meaning to revive, to renew, to cause to flourish again. It means that the people of God who trust in him shall become strong in faith; able to contend with their spiritual foes, to gain the victory over their sins, and to do what is right and meet the challenges of life. God gives us, grasshoppers strength and blessings. Something we can read about in every age!
"...mount up with wings as EAGLES; they shall run, and NOT be weary; and they shall walk, and NOT faint." As Christians we get to soar like a majestic EAGLE! We will raise to the challenge! We shall overcome!!! Alleluia!!!
