The Fall...

Matthew 7:26 & 27
"26 And every one that heareth these sayings of Mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it."

IT FELL: 
and GREAT was the FALL of IT.
This is in stark contrast to the wise man who built his house upon a rock! "...the FLOODS CAME, and the WINDS BLEW, and beat upon that house; and it FELL NOT!" When the STORM came the house built upon the rock stood strong. It did not fall. The firm foundation made all the difference. 

Temporary things cannot give you permanent results. Is your relationship with God the main thing? Central to everything else in your life. The central thing and the true thing. People, jobs, relationships, life, marriage, all these things are temporary! All are blessings from God. Yet, they are not the main thing. JESUS is the main thing!

If a picture is worth one thousand words, what is a hymn worth? In this case, countless words! If you will listen to this one podcast about this one hymn you will gain a greater understanding of Jesus than reading weeks of my blog! Yes, it's that good and that amazing! I guarantee it... "let this sink into your ears..."

Elisha’s example

I will make you

Matthew 4:19&20 "19 And He saith unto them, Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men. 20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed Him." In our "Follow Me" series, we study Jesus calling His disciples in the Gospel of Matthew. By the Sea of Galilee, a thriving fishing hub, Jesus saw Simon and Andrew casting nets as humble fishermen. His disciples were ordinary workers, not wealthy or educated elites. Jesus approached them and said, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men." Remarkably, they immediately left their jobs to follow Him. This brief exchange conveys a profound truth: Jesus says, "I will make you." Only God can transform us to accomplish His purpose. We should often pray, "Help me, God," seeking Jesus' guidance to follow His plan for our lives.
