Luke 8:4 & 5
"4 And when much people were gathered together, and were come to Him out of every city, He spake by a parable:
5 A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it."
Last week we looked to the wise men of the Nativity scean for inspiration to study GOD'S word, look for His guiding star and worship and give our best to His son... so that we too will have a RELATIONSHIP with GOD. Hopefully the seed of this idea can grow and flourish in the New Year.
This week we turn our focus to SEED planting as we begin a new sermon series titled; God's Garden. We are living in GOD'S Garden understand seed grow and how we get the harvest that we have. For us it's the New Year we are making "Resolutions" to better. Making list for ourselves of goals and things we want to do better. Most we will likely come up short on, but we need to still try.
Like the people gathering around Jesus to listen to His teaching; many did not understand but they still tried. Today's verses from the Gospel of Luke, chapter eight, beginning with verse four; "And when much people were gathered together, and were come to Him out of every city, He spake by a PARABLE: A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it."
