Romans 6:9-11
"9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over Him.
10 For in that He died, He died unto sin once: but in that He liveth, He liveth unto God.
11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord."

You are DEAD to sin!
Going back to old english sayings; one would say; "you're dead to me!" To say the person in question was disowned or would never be seen, or heard from again. With Jesus Christ, you and I can say to sin; "you're dead to me!" We now live for GOD! Sin and death hath no more dominion over us! 

We are ALIVE with Christ, now AND in the world to come! Through our Baptism, through our communion and through our sanctification we have fellowship with Christ! We will go on to everlasting life that we begin to live now when we are blessed to express these spiritual truths to this world! 

We have more to be thankful for than we can count! Out of our deep gratitude to God we strive to live in a way that is pleasing to GOD. As Paul said it; our "old man" the sinful person we were is DEAD and buried; "Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is DEAD is FREED from sin."
We are FREE!!!

All THANKS to our LORD and SAVIOR! Who is SO generous that He let's us participate in His plans and work. He is SO giving that He lets us recive the credit and benefit of the work He did! Through our Baptism we journey with Jesus into death and then onto resurrection with Him!! Both are sealed to us by the sacrament of baptism!!! It is a glorious thing that through Jesus we are given "NEWNESS of LIFE!" We are given the chance to act differently! To let God's rules, regulations and laws inform and guide how we live our life. Let the Holy Ghost guide us and our decisions letting our lives bring forth new fruit, good fruit and when we are blessed; HOLINESS.

The Bread of Life

John 6:33-35 "33 For the bread of God is He which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. 34 Then said they unto Him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. 35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst." We were studying GOD'S Covenant symbolized by the RAINBOW. It's a VERY important message to know that the Great Flood will NOT happen again. When we see the RAINBOW we want to remember this Covenant. We also want to remember our own Covenant with GOD and how the waters of Baptism washed us clean and gives us the promise of eternal life. This week we will study another Covenant from GOD; The Covenant of Holy Communion. Instituted by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I will make you

Matthew 4:19&20 "19 And He saith unto them, Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men. 20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed Him." In our "Follow Me" series, we study Jesus calling His disciples in the Gospel of Matthew. By the Sea of Galilee, a thriving fishing hub, Jesus saw Simon and Andrew casting nets as humble fishermen. His disciples were ordinary workers, not wealthy or educated elites. Jesus approached them and said, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men." Remarkably, they immediately left their jobs to follow Him. This brief exchange conveys a profound truth: Jesus says, "I will make you." Only God can transform us to accomplish His purpose. We should often pray, "Help me, God," seeking Jesus' guidance to follow His plan for our lives.
