Luke 2:20
"And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them."
We completed our daily devotional study of Children of the Heavenly Father. Ending here in the Gospel of Luke, chapter two, the written account of THE CHILD of the Heavenly Father being born as a baby! And, more than just a baby; The Savior, Emmanuel (means "God is with us.") and THE MESSIAH …the HEAVENLY king.
The shepherds told their account of events to everyone who would listen. It was marvelous, incredible and wonderful! And, Mary shared her memories with Dr. Luke who recorded it for The Gospel. And, today you and I can read about it and treasure it ourselves.
We can take inspiration from the shepherds; we can study the Holy Scriptures and come away "glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them." The Holy Bible we get to hold in our hands is a treasure trove of eyewitness accounts and testimonials to the work of our Lord in His world and in the lives and times of His people. We need to treat it as such; "glorifying and praising God for all!"
Please join us at one of the oldest Lutheran Churches in the region! It is beautiful! An old stone building with vibrant stained glass everywhere you look. And, ornately carved wood altar and flying pulpit! It is an amazing sight to behold. And, the people are VERY friendly and welcoming. The Pastor's are outstanding and outgoing. We look forward to seeing you in worship.
