Choose Love

1 Corinthians 13:9-11
"9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things."

Charity and love is a BIG DEAL to Paul, and us, because they represent GOD in our lives! When we demonstrate CHARITY and LOVE to another person we are GOD'S hands working in this world! Everything else will FAIL, CEASE or VANISH! The only thing we can count on is GOD'S LOVE; CHARITY. Jesus did what we could not; He closed the divide between God and man.

Prophecy, speaking and knowledge will all come to a end. People often use these things to differentiate themselves and create division. Creating quarreling factions. Like we see politics today. And, the division in our country and community. The is Satan's plan divide and conquere. Divided we are not just two, we are threw. 

Politely Paul is telling us to grow up! Today's verses; "For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things." Don't be a contributing factor. Don't add fuel to fire. Issues we can divide over. Don't be a pollerazing force. It's okay to agree to disagree. Don't belittle others over differing ideas. When we demonize the other side we are doing the work of the devil.

It is into our church, our families and our communities that we called to be Christian. We need to find a way to fall in love and not out. As the new hymn, linked below, points out; we need to choose love. Our "CHARITY" is our expression of our "LOVE."

The Bread of Life

John 6:33-35 "33 For the bread of God is He which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. 34 Then said they unto Him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. 35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst." We were studying GOD'S Covenant symbolized by the RAINBOW. It's a VERY important message to know that the Great Flood will NOT happen again. When we see the RAINBOW we want to remember this Covenant. Jeroboam

2 Kings 14:25 "He restored the coast of Israel from the entering of Hamath unto the sea of the plain, according to the word of the LORD God of Israel, which he spake by the hand of His servant Jonah, the son of Amittai, the prophet, which was of Gathhepher." We’re continuing our series on God’s calling of His people. Last week we saw how God transformed the Apostle Paul—from zealous enemy to greatest champion. A clear theme is emerging: those God calls often start with reluctance. This week we meet one of the most famous reluctant prophets, Jonah. Jonah’s first recorded prophecy appears in 2 Kings 14:25.
