STOP IT.

1 Kings 3:27 & 28
"27 Then the king answered and said, Give her the living child, and in no wise slay it: she is the mother thereof.
28 And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and they feared the king: for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him, to do judgment."

LEGENDARY wisdom, without a doubt!
King Solomon is amazing!
But, how about this mother? Willing to give up her parental rights just so her baby boy could LIVE! She is ALSO amazing! 

The OTHER mother answered out of pain, grief and jealousy; "neither mine nor thine." If this baby boy would have been DIVIDED it would NOT have helped her with the loss of her own son. It would have only generated MORE pain and grief. At the very least we need to do everything we can to minimize the pain and grief in our world. When we find ourselves in the position of this REAL mother may we have the courage to sacrifice our rights that our loved ones may LIVE. And, when we find ourselves in the position of King Solomon, able to do something to STOP the pain and grief may we have the WISDOM to STOP IT.

God’s patience

2 Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." God did not immediately punish King Solomon when he allowed his foreign wives to build altars for false gods. Despite multiple compromises, God remained patient. Over time, Solomon’s endorsement of idolatry defied God’s covenant, leading to divine judgment, including the loss of the kingdom for his son. Some mistake God’s patience for indifference or inaction, but He follows His plan in His timing. If our nation, culture, church, or we ourselves stray like Solomon, we can repent and return to God’s path. And, should do so sooner than later! Amen!
