COME SEE

Matthew 28:6
"He is not here: for He is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay."

This last week we studied the nobleman in the Gospel of John desperately wanting his son's life saved. He found Jesus and his son was healed from twenty miles away. Before he got home his FAITH was CONFIRMED and everyone in his family became WITNESSES to the power of Jesus Christ! Their FAITH JOURNEY was accelerated! 

This is the nature of FAITH. FAITH gives us possession of things before they happen. Heaven, glory, and everlasting salvation are already ours. We will receive CONFIRMATION of them on our journey home, before arrival! And, when we WITNESS it, when we get home; it will be GLORIOUS beyond our wildest dreams!

We can know ALL this because of the incarnation, sufferings, and death of Christ, His resurrection, ascension, and session at God's right hand, are written of in the Holy Bible!!! Today's verse; "He is not here: for He is risen, as he said. COME, SEE the place where the Lord lay." The angel is inviting the first witnesses to investigate what they are experiencing. The gospel writer is recording what they experienced so you can know too. They want you to engage your intelligence and think about what our LORD has done for you! 

Please join us at one of the oldest Lutheran Churches in the region! It is beautiful! An old stone building with vibrant stained glass everywhere you look. And, ornately carved wood altar and flying pulpit! It is an amazing sight to behold. And, the people are VERY friendly and welcoming. The Pastor's are outstanding and outgoing. We look forward to seeing you in worship.

Luke 1:51-53 "51 He hath shewed strength with His arm; He hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. 52 He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree. 53 He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away." This is Mary's Magnificat. Beginning with verse forty-six Mary's responds to Elizabeth’s blessing is EPIC! In this poem Mary praises GOD for His blessing to her and His faithfulness to Israel.  Mary's Magnificat also highlights a series of reversals in which the proud are humbled and the humble are exalted! Which we read in today's verses; "He hath shewed STRENGTH with His arm; He hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.
